What We Offer

老司机导航allup is one of the 26 adult education programs in New Mexico offering free learning level sessions for high school equivalency test preparation, refresher sessions for getting ready to attend college, and help exploring career and education pathway. Math, reading, and writing tutoring services are provided by qualified and experienced tutors who offer individualized education support to help students build skills and reach their educational goals. Tutoring services are provided in seven-week sessions and are available through face-to-face, as well as limited online and remote learning support

How To Start

  1. Submit an .
  2. Attend a mandatory orientation. (see dates below)
    • Session 1: July 14-16, 2026
    • Session 2: Oct. 6-8, 2026
    • Session 3: Dec. 8-10, 2026
    • Session 4: Feb. 23-25, 2027
    • Session 5: May 4-6, 2027
  3. Take the placement test to see where you  will start. Test will be provided on the last two days of orientation.
  4. Start your tutoring sessions.

Upon enrolling in the 老司机导航allup Adult Basic Education (ABE) program, students will complete placement assessments in Reading, Writing, and Mathematics. Assessment of results will help determine the appropriate level of tutoring services for each student. As students complete each tutoring level, they will be reassessed to determine their readiness to advance to the next level. Once students have successfully completed all tutoring levels in their respective subject areas, they will be prepared to take the HiSET High School Equivalency Exam. Services

Career Pathways Exploration

Preceding each session is a week where reading, language, writing, and math skills are assessed. Also, career exploration activities are held in order for each individual to explore their own interest and write down some specific steps on the pathway to several futures.

HiSET® Preparation

Classes are offered to help students prepare to take that (high school equivalency) test. Students progress at their own pace. Once the students is ready, the HiSET® online exam will be administered. Students must sign up in advance to attend the sessions.

  • Session 3: Dec. 14, 2026 - Feb. 12, 2027
  • Session 4: March 1 - April 23, 2027
  • Session 5: May 10 - June 17, 2027

New Student Orientation (July 2026 - June 2027)

Mandatory orientation sessions:
*orientation starts at 9 a.m.

  • Session 1: July 14-16, 2026

All sessions are 7-weeks long. Each class meets twice a week (3.0 hours per class/2x's per week=6 hours total class time per subject each week).
